Cera: Ptarmigan / Lagopede

Ptarmigans (aka awebo bird), about 9 to 13 cm / 3.5 to 5 inches beak to tailtip. Ceramics clay fired at about 1000°C / 1800°F, handmade.

There are four main kinds: unglazed (not shiny, white winter coat), glazed transparent (shiny, white winter coat), unglazed + color (spring/fall coat: the colored spots are shiny but the white is not), glazed + color (spring/fall coat: all shiny with colored spots).

Lagopèdes; environ 9 à 13 cm (du bec à la queue). Argile céramique cuite à environ 1000°C, fait main.

Il y en a quatre variantes principales: non émaillé (mat, plumage d'hiver blanc), émaillé transparent (brillant, plumage d'hiver blanc), non émaillé + couleur (plumage de printemps/automne: les plumes colorées sont brillantes mais le blanc non), émaillé + couleur (plumage de printemps/automne: tout est brillant, il y a des plumes colorées).
